Camping & Coffee

A silver 2007 Lexus LX470 traversing a dusty fire road through the dense green canopy of Cherokee National Forest.

There is a specific kind of silence that only exists at 6:00 AM in the Cherokee National Forest. It is a quiet broken only by the soft click of a camp stove and the distant rush of a mountain waterway. This month, we took the 2007 Lexus LX470 deep into the Tennessee backcountry to explore the intersection of precision engineering and the morning ritual.

Overlanding is often measured in miles or elevation, but sometimes the best metric is the quality of the brew at the end of a fire road. As the mist cleared from the valley, the LX470 sat as a silent partner to a perfect morning pour-over...sitting on the tailgate, reflecting the same dedication to craft we bring to our morning coffee.
